I am so excited it is finally summer time. The weekend was beautiful. We spend the day getting ready for a BBQ on Saturday and working on the yard on Sunday.
Here is my latest creation. I look forward to creating some new fun stuff for the web this week now that we are finally in the swing of summer.
I have decided that I need to do a revamp of my studio. I have been thinking about this for a long time now. When we created this space, we created it so that I could teach classes and crop up here. I have to admit, since I have gotten my studio I think that we have cropped about 3 times. Mainly, when Holly comes into town. I have also taken a new turn in my life, thanks to Tony's new job towards wellness. I have started using my room less for crafting and more for Pilates and watching TV. As leah grows up I know that this space will need to become more of a second living space, and I am okay with that. I still have my lovely corner of the room. I am just not taking up the whole space for just this hobby.
So, because of this new turn of events I have decided that I need to once again do a purge of my room. Over the years between teaching, DT's and owning a store I have accumulated TOO MUCH STUFF! I am lucky to have a deadline of a GARAGE sale to get me motivated! I love these sales for this reason. They allow you to get rid of a ton all at one time. SOOOOO, I am going to be bagging up some of my scrappy goodness to pass on to others. And I am making some new kits to sell on EBAY. I have connected with a few of my PP buddies from the past and they have encouraged me to list a few things. We will see. Here is one from this week:
posting this photo from the past...........I found it amoungst my parents photos. got to love the polaroids my dad took. I think if it were not for that camera we would not have many pix at all. It is so funny to look at our hair and youthfullness in these. I think we were 19 or 20 here. I believe it was our birthday.
And to me that is the welcome sign that warmth and spring are on the way. We had a wonderful time this morning with all the family. Collyn noticed the Easter Egss but was nice enough to wait for Leah to start "the hunt!". When asked when she felt she would be too old to "hunt eggs" Leah replied, "when there is not money and candy in the eggs." We know where her priorities lie.
We did not really get too many good shots in but here is the one I like the best. It is hard with out differences in heights and all.
This cold weather is really starting to get me down. I am so ready to get out into the yard and feel some warmth. To think last year we were in North and South Carolina enjoying the warm weather!
I am super excited to be back into the world of Scrapbooking again. It has been a LONG hiatus for me. I have all this super fun product around and it was just calling out to me. I will let you know as soon as the class is listed at Heart in Hand Scraps! Just a peek:
We had a wonderful weekend out this week. After all the business of working on the house, Tony and I finally got some much needed time away. We got to visit the Macaroni Grill for the first time (a belated VAlentine's Day) where we found a cozy little booth in the bar. We had a super cool waitor (love that) that felt bad for us, as all the patrons waiting were hoovering around us........so he bought us a piece of cake. They brought it out to us like a birthday with a candle and all. Then they had a woman sing an italian song acapella. She was great!
Saturday I hit the Chilli cook off with some friends and then we were off to dinner and a night out with the rest of the group. Here are a couple fun pictures from that night.
Things have been rather icy around here again. We were lucky to only loose power for one night! The poor trees however, are just suffering! And........I am so ready for SPRING!
Yesterday, the sun came out and I tried to capture the glow through the ice. It didn't turn out near as beautiful as it looked.
Tomorrow is the big Valentine's party! I know Collyn is so ready to go back to school. I will show you pix of the all the fun stuff with are going to party with soon!

Boy, I started out wanting to be such a good blogger. Sometimes I just don't feel like I have much interesting to say!
I have been switching a lot of my focus lately to working out and eating right. Having a husband that is a well coach kind of does that too you. It is hard. I have been trying to track all my food in a journal, eat healthier, and try not to get discouraged when the scale is not my friend.
We are gearing up for Valentine's Day! Collyn and I went out to Target tonight to find a cute box. In the end we got him some "Fun Dips cards" and decided to make our own box! We will put up a picture of that tomorrow.
Tony is downstairs working on our NEW remodeled master closet. This will eventually lead into the newly redone master bath and master bedroom.........and finally NEW CARPET. Anyone who has been at our house knows we were burdened with this horrible GREEN carpet. During this remodel, my closet is located on garage sale racks in our office.
I promise to get some new pictures of all of this up soon. Here is a picture of the single vanity of the one are going to get at Lowes. They do not have a picture of the double vanity, but you get the idea!
A year ago this time I had just undergone surgery on my hand! It is hard to believe it has been a whole year! It healed wonderfully! We were also gearing up for our trip to the coast. I am kinda bummed we will not be able to go anywhere for spring break, but it will be nice to have some time off! Maybe head down to the lake!
